Careers
The Brooks employs over 60 people and offers job opportunities in a variety of career fields. We employ staff in many areas including curatorial, development, marketing and public relations, education, visitor services, retail, library science, accounting, information technology, graphic design, security, human resources, and facility management and maintenance.
Docent
Would you like to learn more about art and share your knowledge with others? Founded in 1965, the Brooks Docent Program was established by the Brooks Museum League. Serving thousands of visitors each year, Brooks docents engage their audiences with the artwork on view and foster the development of visual and creative thinking skills, often providing the first contact many children and adults have with the visual arts. We strive to provide a positive, meaningful, and relevant experience with art.

Volunteer
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the Brooks! We truly couldn’t do what we do without their help. The Brooks offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, depending on your individual interests, skills, and availability.
Special Events
Welcome and register guests, assist with activities during evening programs throughout the year such as Brooks Uncorked and Grand Auction.
Children's Activities
Help youngsters and families with art-making projects during Community Days, Wacky Wednesdays, and Dia de los Muertos celebrations (mostly weekend days) or help in the education studio as needed on weekdays.
Films
Welcome guests and assist with admissions, usually on Wednesday evenings.
Administrative
Assist departments within the Brooks, usually on weekdays. This includes bulk mailings, data-entry, photocopying, creating databases, answering phones, and so forth.
