Field Trips

Field trips invite pre-K–12 students to look closely, ask questions and make connections across time, place and artistic medium. Teachers can choose a docent-led experience, add hands-on artmaking or reserve a self-guided visit.

The Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards gives students in grades 7–12 an opportunity to submit original work for recognition, scholarships, publication and opportunities to exhibit their work.

Art Builds Creativity

Art Builds Creativity, or ABC, is a multi-visit partnership for fourth-grade classrooms at Memphis-area Title I schools. Students discuss art in the galleries, connect what they see to subjects such as reading, writing and math, then create their own work through a related hands-on lesson.
