Come and Stay a While
The mezzanine is your place to sit and stay a while. Accessible by elevator from the parking garage, lobby, and rooftop, it is designed as a flexible space for working, meeting, reading, or simply spending time surrounded by art.
The Theater
The 175-seat theater is suspended above the lobby. When not in use, it will transform into a public gathering space with ample seating. It features state-of-the-art recording and broadcasting capabilities and acoustic curtains that transform the room into a true black-box environment for performance. The theater's glass exterior provides views out to the courtyard and city skyline — and makes activity inside visible from the street.

Designed with adults 55 and older in mind, the Michelson Living Room is a comfortable place to meet a friend, join a program or take a break between galleries.
Filled with natural light and views into the museum’s courtyard, the space invites visitors to return often, recognize familiar faces and take part in the cultural life of Memphis.
